Fondation Beyeler |

Mit der Eröffnung der Fondation Beyeler im Oktober 1997 erhielt die Sammlung Beyeler ein öffentliches Museum. Das Gebäude entwarf der italienische Architekt Renzo Piano. Neben Werken von Cézanne, Picasso, Rousseau, Mondrian, Klee, Ernst, Matisse, Newman, Bacon, Dubuffet, Baselitz u.a. besitzt die Sammlung zudem 25 ausgewählte Objekte aus Afrika, Alaska und Ozeanien, die in einen direkten Dialog mit den Arbeiten der klassischen Moderne gesetzt wurden. |

Das am Rheinufer gelegene Museum Jean Tinguely ist dem Leben und Werk des bedeutenden Schweizer Eisenplastikers (1925-1991) gewidmet. Die permanente Ausstellung zeigt bewegliche Maschinenplastiken aus allen Schaffensperioden. |
